CHYANNE CHEN —
Standing Up for
Our Neighborhoods.
Enhance our safety and prevent crime by increasing the presence of frontline emergency personnel including police officers, investing in proven crime prevention programs and improving the efficiency of 911 response to keep our families safe.
Build truly affordable housing where it makes sense, especially near transit and great jobs, while preventing displacement of our residents and protecting against rising rents.
Bring everyone indoors through a comprehensive approach to homelessness, including transitional and permanent supportive housing, data-driven homelessness prevention and wraparound social services.
Support every generation — from our children to our elderly. Chyanne will push to invest in early childhood educators, after-school programs, vocational training and interventions for at-risk youth, home care workers, elderly care and individuals with disabilities.
Revive our small businesses through cross-cultural business events and incubators for immigrants, people of color and women. Reducing street crime and fostering a safer environment will also make our district more appealing for business development.
Ensure all residents have the opportunity to thrive by identifying resources and sites for affordable, quality housing and convenient transportation. Chyanne is committed to expediting housing approvals and eliminating redundant regulations to create more family- and senior-friendly affordable homes.
Invest in safe and reliable transit, pedestrian, bicycle and street infrastructure, as well as in libraries, parks and recreational facilities.
